Have been really busy recently, went to play badminton on Friday, which almost cost my life. Haha. I feel so old right now. Felt breathless just by exercising 5min, shall blame it on my super ridiculous flu.
I was so pale that day, everyone thought i was about to die. (Okay enough of exaggerating).
Went to Pann's birthday ytd, great to meet up with all the polymates but sadly, i cant talk much. OMG i can't emphasize enough on how much i like to talk. hahaha. & we head down to geylang to have frog leg porridge aftermath. Nommm. P.S. i don't eat frog legs. So i was the only idiot who only ate porridge. But still, its nice :)
Okay nowwwwwwwwww~ (Not all pictures are with me soooo.... ya, this post won't be complete)
P.S. Theres really not much pictures because i'm either busy eating or shopping. We didn't go to much places for sight seeing as we only have 4 full days there. So the schedule was super pack.
Bf parents sending us off.
Arrived at Taipei, waiting for the freego bus.
*Anyway freego bus, is a bus that brings u right outside your hotel. Basically its like a cheaper taxi but of course there are other passengers too. The driver will ask you which hotel you
are staying at before you get up the bus. When he arrives at your stop, he will tell you.
Super good service. Haha i was so impressed (Y).
So yeah. Whoever is going there for the first time, i would recommend you take that.
As we reached taipei too early, all the shops are still closed. We went to catch white house down.
Totally forgetting that the subtitles will be in Chinese.
Thank god, we chose an eng movie. Haha. So it isn't that bad.
After movie, we went to walk around ximending area to check out what stores they have.
& i bought my new balance shoe. Haha. Yes in less than like 5 hours in Taipei.
But it was so comfy, i couldn't resist. & whats more, its slightly cheaper than it is in
Singapore.
& i had ru rou fan for lunch at some random store.
All i can say is food in taiwan is so cheap. :D
Went back to the hotel, to change & chill for a while.
Anw for this trip i stay in wonstar hotel, which i find that its quite good.
The room is pretty comfy. (But not very pretty la)
Breakfast is provided everyday with quite a good spread.
There is a washing machine & dryer for us to use. (Self service)
Its around 300m walk from the mrt. Which is such a + point haha.
Overall I would say quite worth its price.
By the way, the mrt in Taipei is as convenient as Singapore's.
It basically brings you to anywhere you wanna go.
So yup, no worries for that.
At around evening time, we went to shilin night market.
To try out all the Taiwan delicacies.
XXL Chicken, da chang bao xiao chang, mee sua & etc.
Woohoo~ Haha talking about it, i kind of miss taiwan already.
Okay thats all for first day.
Okay second day~
Went to dong qu. (Which was a bit like Singapore's haji lane)
Checking out our bestfriend, "google map".
OOTD sia. Haha
Me camwhoring while waiting for my desserts".
I think we are the only crazy ones, who went there so early.
Waited for like the whole 15 min for this.
But i can only say, its worth the wait.
Some shops we went into.
Yeah as i said, too busy shopping & holding the damn umbrella.
So not much pictures.
But but but... I got my new wallet there woohoo.
& dear bf, got a couple of t shirts.
All i can say is dong qu is somewhere you can get nice but expensive stuff.
I wouldn't recommend girls to get clothes from there. As i find it overprice.
Except its some label shit la.
But for guys, go ahead man. Hahaha. Anyway all your stuffs are expensive
in the first place. Theres more choice there.
At around 5pm or 6pm, i can't rmb clearly.
We went to WuFenPu. Is like a wholesale market there.
& a girls paradise. Haha. Most of the clothes there are mad cheap.
& rmb to always ask for discount, try to get more than 1 piece from the store
in order to get even more discount.
The items i got there in average is about 10SGD per piece.
Here are some items i got.
& many of them are dresses. So i felt that its quite worth it.
Regret controlling myself. Haha.
Should have bought more.
But my dear bf, would have died, if i continue shopping.
His legs were breaking.
To sidetrack a little, i have a million dollar qn to ask.
Why guys can walk 24km without complaining, without feeling like they are dying but
can't go shopping with us? I mean i'm sure we don't walk that much when we shop right.
My bf & i came up with a conclusion that it is a mystery that can never be solve.
Haha.
Anw, my bf is the kind who can be my shopping buddy, he doesn't
mind to go shopping. At least not that i know of la. Haha.
Maybe he secretly hates to acc me. But oh well.
This qn only applies to guys like that.
Okay back to the topic, we went to raohe market next.
& as usual tried out all the random food.
Anything that we find interesting, just try.
They actually sell crab in the middle of nowhere.
Theres seat around the store, just order & sit there.
Gloves & tissues are provided.
There are a few stores there that sell, nice clothes & accessories too.
Overall, i prefer raohe much more than shilin night market.
Third day~
We went to beitou for hotspring.
Hehe in the train to go to the hotspring.
Pretty cute eh.
& it was walking & walking & much more walking.
We wanted to see all the hotels before we decide on which to go.
But in the end...
Some are just too far.
So we settle on this.
*Anyway there are public ones too. But i didn't want la.
& the private one isn't expensive too.
So ya.
We chose the japanese style room.
& thats us after the hot spring.
Wah super shiok.
Hahaha.
After that, we head to yu ren ma tou.
For dinner & lover's bridge. :D
Haha but we didnt go to the lover's bridge in the end la.
Too lazy.
Oh ya... want to mention this.
Theres this grilled, bird's egg ah.
Taste super duper good.
Is like my fav food there.
& on our very last day :(
We went to jiu fen, which everyone was raving about.
Like "if you go taiwan but nv go jiu fen, its like a wasted trip"
So yeah~
& after taking 2 trains & 1 super scary bus.
The bus was speeding all the way up the hill. Totally didn't give a fck about
the passengers standing inside.
Haha obviously i was one of them la.
Was perspiring in the bus, just because i held the handle so tight.
All tense up.
Haha.
& finally i arrived.
Sat down at a random cafe to have dinner.
So my conclusion is ...
I don't like jiu fen.
Haha. Its a very touristy place.
The scenery is nice, no doubt.
But other than that, i find it pretty normal?
Perhaps if you have extra time to spare there would be a good place to chill,
have some tea. Buy souvenirs back.
Thats just my opinion la.
Next... We went back to zhong xiao fu xing. To try out the ninja cafe/ restaurant.
Super cool restaurant i can say.
All waiter & waitresses dress up as ninja & when you enter, there will be a water fountain,
which you have to shout "ninja" before the fountain open up & lead you up to the stairs.
Haha Singapore should have cool theme restaurant like this too.
The menu is like a scroll.
Let the waitress know that you are foreigners.
There is an eng menu too.
& you will get free test tubes of drinks.
All i can say is the service is 100/100.
They will ask if you feel that the aircon is too cold.
Play games with you.
There are magicians who will go to individual table to perform & interact with you.
& theres an 18+ dance performance.
Haha got a shock by the performance though.
The performer (a sexy lady) actually strip a male customer who was sabo-ed up the stage.
(Only the shirt la of cos.)
& did lap dance on him.
Didn't expect a performance like this in a random restaurant like that.
If its in the club or bar, ya i understand la.
Haha but ya, i find it cool.
& the waitress sweetly waited for us to take picture before she can separate this plate of fried
rice for us.
The food was pretty good too.
Sure will go back again. Haha.
A photo they took for us.
& went to sogo mall at last.
& we bid goodbye to Taipei :(
Yup thats all.
A super duper long post already.
Till then. Bye.
