There are certain qualities everyone look for in a person
before calling them a friend.
I'm sure it varies from person to person.
But here are some point which i feel is needed.
Being comfortable with him/her
Silence is not awkward between both of you.
& you can talk about anything with this person.
(Okay maybe to a certain extent except this person
is your best friend.) But at least you won't feel bored
with this person.
Someone who will make an effort to meet up or
basically make time to catch up with you
It need not be a whole day outing.
A call or a text will do.
Someone you can have fun with
From gossiping to making fun of each other
You will always be laughing and having a good
time.
Partying will be extra fun with them around.
& you will always feel safe.
Someone who genuinely care about you (not just
KPO)
They will be there for you when you need them.
They will check if you are alright when they know
you are down.
I have this person i call friend.
We have been friends for close to 10 years.
But now, i don't know if i still can call her a friend
because she has totally fail point no.2
I cannot understand how she can simply say the place
is too far for her when this outing is to celebrate
the birthday of 2 person in the clique. Besides, how far can
it be? This is singapore. & the place we chose is easily
accessible. Right beside the mrt station. In addition, we always
travel for her birthday.
What makes my blood boil even more is she doesn't even
have anything big plan on that day. & after some discussion
she told us to go ahead without her because she is afraid
that if she promise & don't turn up in the end. It will be
worse. (not the first time anyway)
I don't get it. So she planned to not appear already?
& the worst part is when we ask her why is it so difficult
to just take a few hours out, she just say is not that she can't
but she is basically lazy.
Manage to keep my cool in the conversation. But no girl,
NO. Too many times for us to just let it be.
